Thanks Andrew! That's really helpful to know. For the last few years I've been conflicted between that nagging Riv-fueled suspicion that any fenders without the SKS safety tab were less than optimally safe, yet every SKS fender I've had I've disliked enough to remove every time I thought there wouldn't be rain for awhile.
