Mine's 20 lbs and change (59er with threaded fork, SRAM brifters, carbon
forks, heavy pedals, and carbon water bottle cages, and no fenders,
33.33333 tires). Rides great and light uphill. Add more weight with what
I carry in BrandV and Sackville sacks, and clip-on lights.

My Homer Hilsen with racks, fenders, dyno-hub and dedicated lights, is
about 32 to 34 lbs. Bigger difference on the uphills, but not as much as I
would have thought.

A Specialized Roubaix fully carbon might get you up the hills with a little
less wattage at about 15-18 lbs, but it's much more twitchy on the
downhills (the Roadeo is not twitchy at all) and, of course it's a smaller
frame which requires more of a pretzel shape during a long ride (so I get
neck and back and hand aches over the long haul with a Specialized, and
feel a lot more comfortable over the long haul with my Roadeo).

Not a big fan of the Roadeo paint job, but I now have some touch up paint
from Schwinn, and I never have to worry about putting a blanket over my
Roadeo for fear that it will get knocked around by the other bikes I'm
carrying and develop a irreparable crack.

So, in sum, I probably wouldn't recommend the Roadeo to a dedicated
Triathlete (although I would gladly use it), but only because there's too
much pressure to follow the herd in that world.
