I just spoke with the rangers. It looks like Wednesday or Thursday are the best days, given the weather report and the need to clear the road of the 2' of snow from Hurricane Simon and whatever they get up there tomorrow (rain and snow predicted). Tuesday may work, presuming they clear it by the time we umph our way to mile 15 or so. Grin.
Also, the grade sounds relatively gentile, with the section of road from Cascade to the toll booth being steeper than anything on the highway. The last mile is 12%.
