Do others find there is a kind of "Bicycle Ladder" like there is a "Property Ladder?"
As an example, for me, I started my bike obsession piecing bikes together from parts found in the trash. Then I had a decent wheelset built for my favourite of the 1980's found frames. Then I bought a used Soma frame and moved all the best parts over. Then I bought a used Surly and built myself a nice wheelset. Then I bought a used Rivendell frame.
