10-15 years ago or so, or back when digital cameras were still something
rather exotic instead of daily humdrum, there was a small contingent of
cycling photo enthusiasts who took pride in compiling albums of interesting
photos taken with cheap "pen" cameras, the kind that even back then
retailed for about $10. Even I, photographic klutz that I am, used a couple
of these for on-the-go and for-sale photos with passable results. Kent
Peterson, of eponymous blog fame and erstwhile fix-ist a l'outrance, was
one who did this.

Me, I carried an old Canon (at one time high end; taken in trade) for a
while, but found that my results with iPhone, serially 3 (s?g?), 4 (s?g?)
and, now (surfing just one step behind the fashion curve) 5 (s? g?) were no
worse, and that since I carried the phone anyway for various reasons,
including Cyclemeter, it was far more convenient simply to use it.

In fact, if anyone wants that Canon (Sure Shot? It was I was told a $600
camera back in the earlier aughts), he/she/undecided/it/both/neither is
welcome to it for postage. Chargers and (I think?) storage cards included.
Or will trade for a Roadeo.
