Evan, I don't know what that adapter part does, or looks like. I didn't buy 
that part, as I knew I would be mounting my mirror to the visor. (I also 
supplemented the mounting with a couple of tiny drilled holes in my visor 
to fasten two tiny zip ties which hold the little legs very tightly against 
the visor-- it will never fall off).
