I struggle with this too. Cleaning it trailside has not worked well. Now I 
just bring it home. I shake out the grounds best I can, then fold it up and 
seal in the container I use to carry my coffee. Once home I clean 
everything proper. This works fine for an out and back, but not for 
multiple cups or overnight.
