Not at all. The essence of a Rivendell, IME -- I've owned 5, custom and
stock -- is the fit and ride. These can be easily achieved with any sort of
brake. Grant has backtracked on lugless building; he may well just
backtrack on disk brakes. I'm not holding my breath, but on the other hand,
I'm not a brake ideologue.

That said, I have my beady eye and little mind on a custom Chauncey
Matthews ....
