Twice this year (since replacing my front chainrings for the first time since
Riv’s original install of the Sugino rings) I’ve gotten a puzzling
squeelch/creaking when cranking. After tightening my chainring bolts (which at
most took a 1/4 turn), it vanished to blissful silence. I’m planning on
removing the bolts, scraping them through beeswax and reinstalling. Any other
thoughts?

With abandon,
Patrick
