Patrick, They shouldn't be coming loose. Are you using a chain ring tool to tighten them? http://www.parktool.com/product/chainring-nut-wrench-cnw-2
Instead of beeswax try *removable* locktite on the threads of the bolts. Also tighten them as you would a wheel on your car..skipping each bolt as go around the chain ring until they are all tightened. Hope that helps.
