Perhaps this is no longer the case. Around June or so my LBS learned that Rohloff and its U.S. distributor had parted ways. As a result, they were unable to source the Rohloff specified oil and seals I needed after mine started leaking.
I wound up giving the rather expensive Oswald custom built around the Rohloff to one of the LBS mechanics. Life is too short to mess with poorly supported components.
