David: A few years ago I had Tom Matchak (http://tommatchakcycles.blogspot.com/2007/03/frame-neutral-replacement-fork.html ) build a lower trail fork for my Atlantis. It's 40 mm trail, and I use 40 to 45 mm tires on my 700c wheels. It came out nice & I like the improvement in handling (I like front loads). He used a crown that's not far off the stock one and it doesn't stand out. Tom was very accomodating about adding the various attachment fittings. I have 2 eyelets at the fork end; a thru attachment mid-fork for low rider rack, and the upper hour glass eyelets for the small Nitto front rack.
