Tim: How secure is your RV park? I would hesitate to lock any bike outside like that unless it's well hidden & secure.
As to shifters, DTs do look clean & classy, & bar ends are nice too. You may ponder your desire for an eleventh gear. 9 or 10 may be enough, and opens up your choices in shifters.
