How about "handlebars?" All the controls being mentioned, with the sometime 
exception of shifters, are found on the handlebars. Imaginary exchange 
using this nomenclature:
 "What's your handlebar setup?"
"I have Noodles with bar-ends, a bell, and non-aero levers. And you?" 
"I have porteur bars with DI2 STI and a Garmin. But it's a self-riding 
Google bike, so I just hang on."

 Anywho, different strokes for different folks. I was just confessing 
solidarity with the OP after a chorus of dissenting opinion fell upon him. 
Now please excuse me while I saddle up and take my trusty iron steed to the 
grocery store--she's a fine machine, made for haulin'! (P.S. Do cockpits 
have colorways?;^)
