No, not cargo cycles. I bought one of the Nitto Bullmoose bars from Rivendell. It's a really wonderful bar, very comfortable and beautiful. I put it on my early 90's Bianchi Nyala mountain bike. The problem is that with the extreme sweep, the reach is quite a bit shorter than before, and now I feel a little cramped. The Bianchi has a 58cm top tube, and to get a similar reach to what I had before (and have on my other bikes) I'd need a frame with a 64cm effective top tube. That's long. Looks like the Rosco Bubbe would get me that, but man that's an odd bike. The Clem Smith Jr is close at 61cm. So, I have two questions for the group:
1. All of my road bikes have drop bars, and my mountain bikes have fairly normal straight-ish bars. I see a lot of pics of road bikes (Homers, Sams, etc) with swept back or upright bars that reduce the reach considerably. How do you get on with that? Just adjust to the short reach? 2. What other bikes out there have loooong top tubes? Other than modern gnar-shredding mountain bikes, of course. I want something with a Riv-ish design like 72 deg seat tube, low BB, etc. Thanks! And because we all like pictures, here's the Bianchi: <https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-mFK6WgM/0/XL/i-mFK6WgM-XL.jpg> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
