I too prefer the tombstone version. I once thought the newer free version would be better. But that was only true on paper. I was wrongly worried about the tombstone cutting into bag volume.
I quickly found out the tombstone-free one is not as good for bag stabilizing. And that factor is way more important to me than the volume intrusion factor.
