I don't have much experience with disc brakes. I'm planning to run a cable actuated disc as a drag brake on the HHH.
There was a Blug post that said to run a 40mm bracket with a 180mm rotor on the small size tandem. The bracket on mine measures 50mm on center for the mounting screws. To confuse matters further, the Avid BB7 180mm rotor I was looking at has no mention of bracket size but lists 74mm in the description. Is that a pad measurement? Is the 40mm bracket the de facto standard for that brake size or is this a case of caveat emptor?
