Carla: thank you! Bill: thank you :) I used bar wrap left over from another handlebar project. Although I like the how the harlequin wrap turned out, I'm not crazy about the color. It looks better in bright sunlight but seems too monochromatic against the frame. I am thinking of redoing it in maroon or eggplant to make the cream and dark caramel really pop.
Joe: I was going for a 1950's Schwinn Hornet vibe but a chopper Rivendell is so much cooler ;) Michael: I bought the the bags as an impulse buy on Amazon because they were cheap and looked cool. I removed the creepy red star logos because I didn't want my bike to be accused of belonging to Communist Army. I decorated them with random stuff to make them my own. Les: I appreciate the tip. The seafood and Cajun cuisine is one of the perks for living in this region.
