I have this (as do others on the list) bike in a slightly larger size. Note the sale bike has 26" wheels, in case this matters to you. The bike is NOT a custom (it is prior to the era of custom Rivs), and the ad copy contains other minor errors. The frame set has been great for me. Id say it is a fancier, racier sort of Rambouillet. Sort of Waterford front end mated to a Rivendell longer chain stay rear, and all done up in silver brazed Reynolds 753 with Shimano drop outs. The bike is my size, and if I did not have the Rambouillet already in addition to the aforementioned Rivendell , and therefore no possible justification to own this bike, I'd bid on it.

If she wants a sporty, pretty, nice riding bike that will fit maybe 28mm tires max without fenders she could certainly do worse...it's about as far from an Atlantis as you can get and still call it a Riv so if the Atlantis' versatility and clearance put her off this might be just the ticket.
