I believe the currently available new A9 is not a roller bearing headset
and all it has in common with the old A9 is the name.

plastic rings and both rings broke. IRD ok so far. But just for
all silver and nothing to break I might get the Stronglight needle
bearing headset from PJW next time. You might want to take a look
at his website for it if you can’t find your IRD for a reasonable
price. Stronglight is 60$ I think.
