Personally, I would consider the extra clearance a plus. That's commonly a spot where fender clearance is reduced by brake interference. I understand not wanting that if you don't plan on ever fendering the bike, or don't want to maximize tire size, but I'd personally only consider it a problem if it had REDUCED clearance.
