Sorry about your disappointment too. When I ordered my second custom, it
arrived with the brake caliper mounting hole just a few mm too high in the
fork crown, and I had to either file the (57 mm max reach) brake pad slots
or -- this is what I did in the event -- use a drop bolt.

I complained to Riv, and I have to say that they took care of it quickly.

Why not wait 3 months? I don't know Somas, but I do know something about
Riv road bikes, and me, I'd wait.
