“I think the people who sign up have their own tandems. I could be wrong.”

This has been my impression.  I have toyed with idea of joining the San Diego 
Blind Stokers Club for several years as my wife is not really too keen on 
riding our tandem, which I would like to ride much more.  The main reason I 
haven’t joined is fear of backlash from my wife but the idea is still there.  
Maybe one day.  At any rate, I tried to donate a rooftop tandem carrier (no 
inexpensive item) to them a couple years ago and there was no interest.  I 
think they need sighted captains more than gear.  A captain without their own 
tandem might be problematic in that possibly they don’t have the experience?
