I guess more of my quirks. $3.3k for the Specturm frame, 2k for the Roadeo. I have been donating nice bikes worth well over $1.3k once a year now for 5 years in a row (including my Hilsen, thus my thinking it would be nice to have a Roadeo)
I have the full mix of components, so that is the same either way. I have collected so many parts over the years, that I have multiple copies many. Earlier this year I decided I wanted to build some of them into a bike. I am not a racer and almost certainly will ride this bike once or twice a year at most. For the rest of the time the plan is to put it atop the steel display case I keep my better components in located in my living room. The difference in ride quality would not be an issue with me, as I have no race bike reference. If the bike rides nice, I will be happy. Full stop. I happen to like the way Riv bikes look and think the Roadeo is one of their best designs ever. DT shifters were a make or break with me. I told Mark I would pay extra. He said no way no how. Some one pm'd me that later Grant came on this site and said DT shifters would be an option but not recommended. I missed that. Anyway, I had probably already ordered the Spectrum by then.
