Curious. Maybe we're talking past each other. I'M 5'9" and my inseam measures 31.25" standing on bare feet with a tape measure attached to a stick that's pulled up snugly against the public bone. That converts to 79.375cm. If the 54cm frame (measured center of the BB to top of the top tube) fits me without discomfort it would seem like you would be on a 56cm, as you say. Seems like someone with an 89cm PBH would want maybe a 57cm or 58cm at the least.
