I have not tried the Pari Motos but I believe they were originally designed as
a thin and light “event” tire. I think Panaracer may have beefed them up a bit
over the years. I think Jan Heine mentioned something about this. They now
appear to be very similar to the Gravel Kings sharing the same tread, but
without the added flat protection. They should ride almost as well as the
regular casing Compass, but with a slightly thicker sidewall and probably less
expensive rubber compound. I had the Quasi-Moto’s on my Bombadil and they
actually road fairly decent on pavement and were comfortable but fast wearing.
I have always had good luck with Panaracer made tires. I have the Non-armored
Jack Brown Greens and Fatty Rumpkin Greens on a couple of my bikes and like
them almost as much as the standard casing Compass, though there is a
difference. My experience with Compass is while standard casing have a great
ride, the EL casings are in a whole another league that is especially
noticeable, particlarly the higher volume versions. I am dying to try the Rat
Trap Pass EL setup tubeless at about 25-30 PSI.
