Hello All,

I have been lurking here for a bit, but now with a new Clem frame set on
the way, I am posting for the first time.

I’m a commuter in NYC, where the streets can be, um, bumpy. I ride daily
in all weather, but distances aren’t high, usually 5 to 30 miles a day. I
am also not wealthy, so I’m trying to build this bike in a sensible but
economical way. I will put money towards parts that need higher quality,
but will always look for ways to cut cost.

Regarding wheels, I’m a bit stunned by the range in prices. please tell me
why I shouldn’t buy this

cheap set? If not and if you were me, what would you look at?

Finally, if anyone has parts they would part with, I’m in the market! Swept
back, low- or no-rise bars, like the Billie or Albatross. Brakes, racks,
derailleurs, etc. Consumable drive train parts I’ll buy new. I’ve got a
crankset, brake levers and shifters so far.

Thank you for your help!

Best,

Noah
