Like I said, I think the shifter is designed for the derailers Grant/Riv knows and sells. The Deore and Deore XT non-Dyna mechs will work with 10-speed cassettes and Shimano 10 bar-ends and brifters, and the latter can be replaced with Silver2. I don't work there and can't give an official pronouncement, but I would think the longer pull of Dyna-Sys would be incompatible.
