Hi everybody! thanks a ton for responding. I have a couple options on
wheels at the moment via offers from the group and those codes sure do make
the Pacenti option more affordable. One thing about the Pacenti wheelset
that still stands out is that it's tubeless ready, which I'm gonna need if
work takes me to AZ after things have calmed down with the world.

I've never been on ibob before but I've seen it talked about here quite a
few times

I'm located in WV at the moment. Unfortunately the last time I took my bike
to the only local shop for many hollers, my Rivendell was nearly laughed at
in the very MTB specific shop. So local is very unlikely. Only trail we
have here is a stretch of unfinished rail to trail, with about 12 miles of
paved lane and still everybody buys full suspension mountain bikes with big
knobby tires to ride it. I haven't lived here in 4 years and it turns out
the "unfinished, horrible" trail everyone had been telling me about is
actually just prime gravel and dirt rising for about 30 miles until a long
neglected wooden trestle ends the path
