Leah, congratulations on the new wheels; they are colorful! Looks like some of the wheels I've built. What rear hub is that? Looks a bit like a Hope!? I have a couple of those & I like'm pretty good, although I find them to be a little "tight" initially. They loosen up over the first hundred or so miles and then just get better & better. The centerlock had me scratching my head a little bit!?
Also, are these going on your Clem? I ask, because I know your Clem is blue & the wheels seem primarily red & orange? And I think you said Clementine a couple times? Force of habit I guess? The hub color I can tell you from experience is sort of catch as catch can, once you get out of Black & silver. Red is typically the next most common. I have some blue ones, but for whatever reason blues tend to be 36 hole. Dynamo stuff IS hard to get right now. I had a shop credit my order, because they couldn't get the stuff out of Germany. You know, one thing I like about a dynamo rear light is it's a constant light as opposed to a blinking light. From my experience blinking lights are drunk magnets! With a steady bright light you are visible, without being distracting. I feel your frustration with the bike shops right now; too bad there's not a way to let shops know that your bike should get priority because you didn't just pull it out of the back of the garage and that it really gets ridden as opposed to the majority of the stuff clogging up the shops now. Although it sounds as though your shop quickly sussed out that your bike wasn't run of the mill. They are probably drawing straws to see who gets to work on your bike & who has to change flats on the Dept. Store bikes!
