I like the look, feel, and durability of cloth tape, but it makes the diameter of my bars too small for my large hands. Also, it doesn't dampen any vibration at all. My solution has been to wrap cloth over very tightly wrapped cork and then shellac. I like the way it looks, feels, and lasts.
