Thank you all,
I ended up with the Deore Vs over the Alivo for one reason and one reason 
only, they have cartridge brake shoes so being able to upgrade shoes 
without needing to fiddle with any adjustments made it an easy choice. 
If they hadn’t been available I would have gone with the Alivos and 
purchased some cartridge holders with pads.
