I've found I like mine straight to perhaps slightly pointed outward on wider bars as it helps keep my wrists straight, contours my hand and my elbows slightly tucked in line with my torso. (non aero levers) Inward seems to flair my elbows out more and I feel less stable (but tends to feels okay on narrower bars).
