I’ve been very happy with my Burly Nomad <https://burley.com/products/nomad>, and generally leave the hitch mounted on the bike most of the time. I’m not certain why trailers are not used by more people. I find it safer and easier to manage loads. Takes up a bit more space where ever you may be locking up, but that’s a small price.
