Well, I put them on my Riv Road today, was very careful with the installation, and had the same result. One of the tubes broke at the valve stem immediately on inflation in the tire. The rims are narrow Fir, and the tires are a pretty tight fit. I used levers to remove the tire but was able to reinstall without levers. New tires with only a few rides on them. So, I've needed 6 tubes to get 4 tires going. That makes the economics a little harder to justify. It also makes carrying a new one as a spare a bit of Russian roulette.
