It serves no purpose except to look like a lovely superfluous bit of brazing work. Hi all,I'm the second owner of this late 90's 57cm Rivendell Road. It's ridden with plenty of wear, but no dents. Some touch up paint spots, plenty of patina and beausage after 25+ years.
Mid-reach brakes, room for 700c x 35's fit all around (38's fit in the front, not rear).
Frame/Fork/Chris King 2Nut headset/Shimano bb/Shimano brakes included. Also have wheelset (Campy Chorus 9 speed rear, VO front to A23's, Rene Herse 700cx35 tires (with 30-ish miles) if interested.
