Eric and Hugh: thanks, I think that a used Roadeo looks like the best bet *if* I decide to get a 4th bike for distance road riding. I’ve got plenty of good advice, and this has narrowed down my bikes of interest considerably, tho’ I’m still debating whether it’s worth while getting a 4th bike for the type and amount of riding that I do. After all, I could gear down my fixed gears pretty darned low.
