This video explains the differences better than I can in print Patrick. The 
way I've always used though is slightly different than the guy in the 
video. For hook #1, I raise it up slightly from underneath with one hand, 
hooking on the first pin and roller. Then I lower the tool to hook #2 while 
releasing the tension with my other hand. This automatically drops hook #3 
down. I press it down lightly and that's the reading.
