Tangential to the theme of this thread (and therefore mercifully brief), I would like to mention that I will be selling both of my 59-ish Bombadil's either this fall or next. I retired to South America in January and have numerous bikes (including the Protovelo/Bombadil described by me in great detail higher up in this thread) in storage in Colorado. Unfortunately, the logistics of being able to spend much time in Colorado in the next few years actually riding most of those bikes is problematic. I do have a price in mind for each that I'm pretty sure is not at the top of the market, and I would be happy to have further casual/ongoing discussions with interested parties at the email address above. I won't necessarily be selling to the highest bidder or the first in line, so no hurry in rushing a response. Since it took me years to actually find, purchase, and build both of the Bombadil's, I figure there are other enthusiasts out there who are patiently waiting for a chance to pick one up at a decent price.
