I really like the REI adventure pant, http://www.rei.com/product/784060 small crotch gusset, a nicely brushed quick-drying nylon, extra zipped pockets on the thighs. I have two pair that I wear alot for the office, and they look good after the ride in. They will need an overpant or underwear for sub-freezing riding. When the next "20% off on item" REI sale comes around again, I may own three pair and just rotate through them for the work week.
