Two fellas (myself and a friend) here in northeast Ohio are definitely interested. Great idea.
We might consider the area around Wellsboro, PA, near Pine Creek. There are at least three hotels in town (at various price points) and camping at multiple public areas near Pine Creek. In town are a couple of decent restaurants, a bike shop, and a good little bagel spot. Also in nearby Mansfield, PA is a wonderful little bike shop owned by framebuilder Tom Oswald -- Oswald Cycle Works. (Oswald has posted some links to rides of various lengths in the area --oswaldcycleworks.com.) Wellsboro is surrounded by miles of quiet roads, both paved and dirt. And if anyone is interested there is also some terrific mountain biking in the area. Wherever we go, it sounds fun.
