Most of the bolts on bikes are M5. A few are M6, such as stem bolts on
classic stems, and the bolt that goes through the fork crown to attach
a fender. I don't think M4s are typically used.

I find useful lengths to be 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25mm. Make sure you get
stainless.
