No, I haven't spent the time to try Jan's suggestions. My feelings are similar: I like the tires so much that I can live with their flaws. I also don't use them on a daily basis. That said, I probably won't reorder. And I should add that I'm a huge fan of the Cerf and Cypres tires and have had no problems with those.
