This is pretty common in the world of Rivendell riders. Many of us seem to think these frames and the parts that are or have been on them command a premium because of being produced by Rivendell and/or some tenuous association with Rivendell. I have seen asking prices for frames that exceed the original price, with the seller comparing the price for the used frames not to what these cost when they bought it but to what similar frames cost now.
