 Old Fatty Lumpkin- somewhat obscure- was paid tribute as well as Tom Bombadil. 
 I enjoyed the Fatty Lumpkin allusion a lot.

"Mathom" might be a good name for something.  "Mallyrn" (or "mallorn" in the 
Westron) could be a color choice, perhaps for a rain poncho.
