Tim: It may not be the size of the frame but the year as there were some variation in frames. I purchased the last orange/cream 54 cm Rambouillet that was available at Riv (end of 2003?). I am using the extra long Silver Bigmouths (I think that is what they were called) and have 28 mm Bontrager Racelite hardcases with 40 mm steel fenders. There is definitely room for a 32 as my finger easily fits between the fender and the tire.
