With nighttime temps dipping down to 40 (we get 30* differentials,
often more) I've been wearing my new-to-me MUSA pants and knickers,
bought at a very good price from a listmember (to whom thanks again).
Mine are both medium and are just about perfect in fit, both in
snugness and length -- tho' I do wish they were both cut to a longer
rise: I like my cycling pants to ride high in the back. These are
acceptable in back, and excellent in fit everywhere else.

So tell me, those of y'all who have worn both new and old: how do the
new (pants or knickers) fit compared to the old? I'm afraid that the
new ones will be too long and too loose for me. I particularly like
the fit and look of the old style pants: I wear them to church when I
ride there and they are trim enough to look, if not dressy, at least
neat -- I dislike pants that look like sweatpants.

Do the new one's have the same fast buckle belt? I must replace the
elastic with webbing, as the elastic is too -- elastic.

The fabric (on the old ones, at least) is just right for fall
temperatures here, particularly here in NM where I can start out at
42* and end up at 80*. The sewing is excellent.

If anyone has old models, in Medium and in good condition, to sell or
trade, I'd be interested in talking. One day when I am flush, I may
ask a tailor to alter a pair of nice, hard-weave winter wool dress
trousers to match the MUSAs.
