Sorry to miss the "Junista" ride. Maybe next time!
23 years ago I lived in Pacifica and worked at the Bicyclery in Half Moon 
Bay. I would take the "Planet of the Apes" route (never heard it called 
that until much later) on my MB-1 so as to avoid riding Highway 1 and 
Devil's Slide on the coast. How was it and what bike/tires did you use? 
Much walking?!
