So i think the problem is that i don't have as much drop from the bolt inside the fork crown to the fender as you guys have, here's a pic of it now, http://flic.kr/p/dTsLNn
i'm actually using a daruma for the fender stay instead of fork crown one, the reason being if i use the longer fork crown one then the fender drops down too low, with this setup the fender is held tight against the fork crown. If i use the longer daruma, the fender hangs low, and i was worried about tire clearance on the inside of the fender if i just kept tightening the bolt. with some amount of spacers i could get it to almost work, but i think the bigger wedge would be needed, in the end i'm happy with the current setup as it's held in place tight now, but i would've preferred the cleaner setup. but i've grown to accept that all fender installations require a certain amount of compromise...
