That first 1000 feet is killer. I think if I'm ever crazy enough to do the ride again, I'll rent a taxi and have it drop me off at the 1000 ft marker. Yeah, that's the way to go! And besides the uphill bits of the ride back on Sunday, no one told me that my nice, classic Rom was going to get all muddy. Well! A really fun weekend, though. And so few miles needed to feel so far away from civilization for a day. NIce. Reid
